One of my favorite places to be is in a dew covered meadow at dawn. The photo above is the type of pictures I take with my macro lens on mornings like this. I've done this type of photography more times than I can count and I have never run into another person. Of course I used the foil fill technique I described two days ago on this particular photo. The sun was coming up behind me from the right so I held the foil on the lower left reflecting light back up into the ragged robin blossom.

Very nice photo. Lovely shot. I can see how the foil fill effect would work here. I always enjoy your blog, I will be back.
Hi!
you have lots of great photos here, and a beautiful first name ;-)
Happy Easter.
This is really beautiful, John, but all of your photos are prizes!
Beautiful capture of the dew on the flower...lovely color against the rather drab butterfly.
Just gorgeous. Still have to find the time to try the foil, waiting for flowers to bloom. Yes I have heard of Tom Murphy. He does a fantastic job! He has some photos in a Gallery in Cody that I was asked to join. What an honor. Again Your Photographs are beautiful..And your information very helpful to us beginners..Thanks and Happy Easter!!
I came across your blog the other day and wanted to tell you I like it. I have been to Maine 4 times, kind of a long drive from Ohio but it's worth it. I would love to live in Maine but the jobs there seem to be worse than here. We stay at Old Orchard Beach when we come up. I have been to Lewiston and Lovel, I have family there. We stayed in portland once, that will never happen again. I think we were on the bad side of town. The cops were in and out of our hotel all night and there were some thug looking people being noisy all night. I have some pictures of maine on my myspace and a movie on youtube. Search for sparkstyson if you want to see it. It's nothing special. Great blog I'll visit often.
