The Scourge of Gardeners...

The scourge of gardeners everywhere but you have to admit the red and green metallic is pretty on this Japanese Beatle. I photographed this guy on my honeysuckle bush last year right after a rain storm.

Now that's a puzzle to me - Japanese beetles come here later in the summer - wonder why that is...(whatever the reason, the shorter time they are here, the better I like it!) Nice image.

Only you could make a nasty Japanese beetle look so good :-) That is a really good photo with the water drops and the colors! it does look very pretty in your photo. They come here later in the summer.

I told my cousin Julie not to bring any from Maine when she comes to visit!!! I have a big enough problem with ticks I don't need my gardens savaged as well!!

A gorgeous little walking rainbow! It's especially great with the water drops on it.
