Grasshopper...

I found this guy right in the middle of my black eyed susan patch so I slowly eased my tripod into place and took some photos. It didn't have a problem with that but it was a little distracted by my foil reflector but not enough to hop off. If you look closely you can see the shine of the reflector in its eye. I took this picture in the morning and I checked back later in the evening and it was still in the same spot, it didn't move all day.

Nice John! I can't believe he stayed there all day!! Are you going to take a picture of a Japanese beetle? I wanted to mention that I don't have any here for my guineas to eat!! Lucky me!

The colors on the grasshopper came out really well. Can't believe it was in the same place all day. Maybe nearing the end or something?

I love looking at your blog. You capture some of the best flower and insect pictures I have seen.

Hi John

I'm very jealous of your Susans - they seem to attract a lot of visitors. Perhaps - if it was a male - he was waiting for his wife to get ready for an evening out on the town!! I can't belive i said that! (-:
