Jumping Spider....

Another critter that dwells on the black eyed susans. Obviously this is an extreme close up, the actual size of this spider is about 1/4 inch across.

I agree...very amazing!! I do love these little jumpers...even if I'm not a big fan of spiders! I am learning to get along with them tho! Thanks John!

Hello John

This shot made mme shiver. Spiders are not my favourite critters! To think that Jenny (Wren's nature notebook)and I used to grab them out of their webs when we were young to examine them. This guy has got beady eyes!!

Brrrrr, Adrian

Awesome shot! All those eyes and hairs.... (shuddering). I'm trying to think of the last time I've seen one. It's been a while.

Stunning shot John. I not a fan of spiders either (thanks for reminding me that we used to catch them with our bare hands Adgi!), but this one I think is lovely. It's the big black long legged house ones that get me shreiking!

Wow. I can't believe the magnification of that shot: that spider's eyes are fantastic.

I almost didn't look at this post based on the title. But I thought lets try it and the macro of this image really doesn't make this spider give me the willies like some images do. I never thought I would say this about a spider but he looks sort of cute in the picture in real life I would probably be screaming for my husband to come rescue me from the spider.

WOW! This is a fabulous image! I'm not big on spiders AT ALL...but the way you've captured him makes it almost bearable...almost :)
