Splish Splash....

Different Perspective....

We've all seen many photos of loons, usually taken from the side or head on, I've taken a lot myself. I have to say this is one of my favorites because of it's different and uncommon angle.

Nesting Loon....

A pair of loons nest in the same location each year and it's not far from a busy highway. Biologists have set up a nesting platform not far from here but they ignore it and choose to nest on this rock instead. I was standing on the shore when I took this photo and it was a pretty warm day so the loon was panting to stay cool.

More Green....

Here's a loon photo from last summer, the green is from the background trees reflecting in the water. I can't wait until the trees are green again.
