Bird Shots.....



The eagle shot was taken from my kayak, because of that it's not tack sharp.
Originally I had stopped to photograph the ducks in the second photo and while I was doing that the heron landed on the rock. It stayed for a few frames then flew off, sometimes you just get lucky.

That eagle looks pretty sharp to me! Beautiful! The heron looks lovely in that light.

Great shots, John!! Now that's what I call worthwhile kayaking! Do you take your good camera with you in the kayak or use a secondary camera, just in case you overturn?

We have a heron that spends three months of the year living in our fire pond. Even Ari gets quite with reverence when we see him perching in the pond or flying overhead. Our real love, though, are osprey: we can't wait until they return!
