Blue Eyed Grass....

Most of the blue eyed grass have gone to seed but I found this late bloomer the other day and since it was near the road I had to photograph it. It's easy to see how it got its name, its stalk looks like a blade of grass and the blue blossom sits at the top of it.

I love the blue eyed grass John! I remember seeing my first one out here and I was amazed by the little flower that just seemed to be floating by itself!
Thanks and I agree with Helen...great series!

A perfect little roadside beauty. The flower looks so beautiful and the grass sort of beat up and worn. Living on the roadside is a struggle. I love the series, too. You are making us pay attention to the ordinary in new ways.
