Fleabanes....



Here are two different fleabanes, the top photo is a daisy fleabane. The bottom photo is the common fleabane, they have similar blossoms but the leaves on the two plants are different. The common fleabane also has a little more pink in it. I got lucky while photographing the bottom photo, the hoverfly landed on the blossom and stayed there long enough for me to take one photo before it flew off.

I'm emabrassed to say that I don't think I've ever noticed the leaves on these pretty little things - just called them wild daisies. Great photos and I'll pay more attention.

Ha Ha!!! Well John I guess we think alike sometimes...not exactly but close! My photography doesnt quite compare...buy I have someting to strive for when I keep my eye on yours!! Beautiful shots!

Nice!!! They seem to be larger than ours here in Florida, judging by the Hoverfly. It would cover the top entirely in ours. Great shots again and the color difference is clearly visible between the two!
