This weekend I decided to just photograph common roadside wildflowers to see if I could get any pictures worth posting. These are the type of flowers that people see so often that they barely pay attention to them. The only requirement I had was that they had to be right on the edge of the roadside and most of the flowers I photographed were only a couple of feet from the edge, the furthest was maybe 6 feet. Good thing I live on a quiet street. Each day this week I'll be posting pics of these common flowers. Today is a white clover but this particular blossom had a lot of pink in it.

Well done, John! A beautiful picture. I think we too often have a tendency to name them "weeds" and pass them by without a glance. When viewed in such a beautiful way as in your picture, well, it just goes to show that we miss out!
And it looks so yummy too! We used to pluck the petals from purple clover and eat them when I was young. Don't know if I ever tried the white ones since they are so much smaller. What a great idea. Can't wait to see what you find along the road. I'll be looking for Queen Anne's Lace from you someday.
