Posing Pretty....

I took this photo in my yard right next to the bird feeder. When the chickadees come in groups there is a definite pecking order and they have their favorite perches while they wait their turn. This angled branch about two feet from the feeder is one of the favorite perches. All I had to do is point my lens at the branch and wait for a bird to land.

Such a lovely little friend to have around, and you certainly did him justice.

Wonderful...I hadn't noticed the pecking order, but do notice they have certain branches they like. I have several feeders and they alternate which one they go to and where they sit to peck on the seed.

I love chickadees and the way the little vultures home in on an elk kill looking for a meal of belly fat.

Perfect shot, John. I must say you have as great a knack with the birds as with the flowers.
