Here's a photo of a bushy aster that I hadn't posted and didn't put it into my book. Most people think the white petals are the actual flower but the flower blossoms are the yellow center.

Well, it's beautiful and I'm glad it made the blog if not the book :-) Brings back a touch of summer after the frost photos you have been posting.
Very interesting John, and it seems just a slight shade of pink!
At first glance I thought it was a daisy - but now I see the intricate blossoms in the center - very pretty!
I know how you feel John..I had to leave so many photos out of my calendar.
Infact , I was still 'editing ' it up until last week !

We ~still~ have some asters growing here on Cape Ann. There are some growing by the street where I walk between buildings at work. It's the simple things that keep us going.
