Aren't Finches funny the way they sit on the topmost tip of a tree and play at being king of the castle, and even there he is subject to the 'small man syndrome' of going up on his tippy toes to appear taller. Lovely shot.
He's a rather sweet fellow John! Nice colors!
Nice yellow glow
Excellent goldfinch image john, I look how he is so upright. Well, I'm in the Oxford Hills and now I'm experiencing all this rain that you have been getting. In Ohio we have fronts that blow through and with them come rain. Here it just seems to be cloudy, then all of the sudden, it opens up and rains rains rains!
Tom
How clever of you to look at it in this way.
The Yellow and Blue compliment each other nicely John.
Beautifully composed image John. The catchlight in the eyes is the only missing point. Those contrasting colors are stunning...Thomas
Now, if you could just get a finch to sit next to a blooming lupine...
So pretty seeing it against that blue sky. Definitely compliment each other.
He's glorious.
Actually, they complement each other nicely.
Its an amazing blog..
I just enjoyed a lot...
cheer..

Sweet contrast color. Very well.
Thanks for visiting my blog! You're right, we do have a lot of the same critters here/there. I was excited to get my 1st goldfinch photo a few weeks ago. :o)
