Bumbling Along.....

A bumble bee visiting the honeysuckle in my yard back in May. I took this picture right after the hummingbird sitting in the chokecherry tree.

Invasive Species....

When I was a kid I never saw honeysuckle but now it's everywhere and is considered an invasive species. I even have one growing in my yard, it's hard not to like them because they smell so sweet and the birds feed on the berries in the fall. I guess that's how it gets spread.

No Abstract Today....

Here's a close up photo of a honeysuckle blossom that I have growing in my front yard. They're considered an invasive species but I do like the sweet smell of the blossoms when they're blooming. The birds like to feed on the berries in late summer and fall.
