This may very well be the last flower photo I take this season. We've had frosts for the last three mornings and this morning it was the coldest, 22 degrees farenheit. When I went out to get the paper I noticed this mouse eared hawkweed by the side of the road so I went back in to get my camera.

John, that is a little darling for a last flower of the season. It glows like the sun.
Rug up and keep warm.
Beautiful John, I love that touch of frost! It was a good run wasn't it!! Now for some great winter scenes!
When I clicked to enlarge, I can see a bit of the frost still on the flower! Fabulous capture!!
Well, I'm glad that little beauty got included. Beautiful, as always! I actually saw a couple violets yesterday....our weather gets real confused at this time of year :-)
Wow - that's cold! Glad our lows won't go beneath the 60's for a long while! ;)
Beautiful Flower!
Cheers, Klaus
That is so pretty John. Yes, I am afraid that winter is well on the way for you. So what kind of pictures do you take when it gets colder? :)
I love that last flower or two of fall--they are the more precious for their rarity and fate. Snows flyin' here--soon be time to wax the crosscountry skis!
We have quite a few asters left...hanging tough and we have some of this eared hawkweed too. A few oxeyed daisies. That's about it.
We had frosts here too John so I feel your pain lol.
A great flower image as usual.
